Look Into Emerald Cut Engagement Rings for Your Next Engagement Ring

Emerald cut engagement rings are an amazing option to choose for your next engagement ring. They are classy and stylish; perfect for your engagement. This cut can be employed on both emeralds and diamonds, making it an extremely attractive option. Originally developed for emeralds, this cut has developed popularity with diamonds because of its highly sophisticated look. Normally, diamonds blend with anything that has an ‘air’ about it.

This cut has a rectangular shape. The surface of the emerald/diamond has ‘steps’ carved into it.  The rectangular shape and the carving give it a better feel than a round or other shaped rings. The round cut is in many ways passé. Few people opt for that shape nowadays. It’s out of fashion.

It is important that you understand the shape/style of your ring before purchasing it. You must know your ring very well. A ring is a piece of art and like all other art forms, it needs to be appreciated. Some of the other popular cuts (similar to the emerald cut) are Asscher and Princess. The emerald cut is the most valued due to its intrinsic beauty. However, the cut you choose is always a matter of your preference and imagination.

Emerald has two advantages over a diamond. One, emeralds are believed to possess healing powers. An emerald is believed to cure you off your many major/minor ails and ailments. It has a healing touch. And wouldn’t you want that in a ring? Secondly, emeralds are also believed to have physic powers as well as having a connection with the ‘aura’ and the ‘universe’. They have been used very frequently in traditional sciences such as astrology.

While we may do our best to discount this particular trait; I believe that for all practical reasons, it is very important. Emerald cut engagement rings will certainly awe her, once you present it to her.  You can never go wrong with going the emerald route for your next engagement ring.
