There was a time not too long ago where most men wore rings mostly to indicate that they were married. Other than wealthy men, male musicians, kings, and pimps, the common man wasn’t really into much ring wearing except for traditional indication of marriage vows. The jewelry industry was geared mostly towards the ladies and basically men were left with some fashion rings, but for the most part mainly traditional gold bands was what was sold for men.

Even though the standard mens gold ring or wedding band has lost some popularity it is far from moving off the scene totally. This style of ring will forever be the most traditional and the standard amongst men’s gold rings. As the introduction of more metals for ring making such as titanium, tungsten carbide, ceramic, steel and more have caused mens rings made out of these metals to rise in popularity, this leave the old faithful gold ring to one side.

Although ring designers have been concentrating on producing more rings made out of these modern metals, the production of gold rings hasn’t stopped. The majority of men who still want to wear traditional yellow gold rings are usually the older generation from 40 years old on up. The younger generation of guys are usually more into the silver, light gray and white colors for their rings.

Although white gold still makes for incredibly great looking men’s rings, they have a downfall and that is that the white tends to start fading out over time and the ring starts looking like a yellow gold ring. This is remedied greatly by using a ring made of sterling silver or stainless steel.

All in all the original mens gold ring is still being worn a lot and will continue to be. The shiny gold color mixed with white lustrous diamonds for example, will forever be a great looking ring to meet the fashion standards of any man today.
