Make It a Blue Proposal With Tanzanite Engagement Rings

Nothing can beat the popularity of diamonds as the superstar of all engagement rings. For those who would like to be unique, there is nothing wrong with seeking different gems for engagement rings as alternative options. There are a number of gems that are well suited for the perfect engagement ring that you have in mind. The more popular alternatives are rubies, emeralds and sapphires.
One gem that is gaining fast popularity is the tanzanite. Giving out tanzanite engagement rings may not be a common practice, in the first place, because the tanzanite is quite a young gem as compared to the usual gems being used for engagement rings. This does not mean that it holds a lesser value though. Tanzanite engagement rings can be expensive depending on the size of the gem. The gem itself holds value in the sense that it originates from only one country – Tanzania, Africa.
Tanzanite has a very brilliant color. It is deep blue with a little hint of purple. This particular color makes it ideal to be paired with diamonds as well. You can go for the usual solitaire ring but the tanzanite gem works well even if paired with other gems.
Diamonds work well with the bluish-purple shade of the tanzanite. The design can be that of the tanzanite in the middle with smaller diamonds set around it or you can have an eternity ring with tanzanite and diamonds lined alternately. As with other gems, you need to consider cut, clarity, carat and color when purchasing a tanzanite gem. You can go for purchasing the gem and have someone design the ring for you or you can also go for the ready-made options.
A couple of ways for you to purchase tanzanite engagement rings are to buy them online or for you to go to a jeweler and have it designed. The latter option is more expensive as you are also paying for the craftsmanship associated with the purchase of the ring. It would be better to go this avenue though, as the idea would be to give the perfect ring to the woman that you chose to spend the rest of your life with. A blue proposal is something that may be out of the ordinary but the idea is exactly that, you need to make sure that it is memorable; the ring itself will be something that is not usual – a one of a kind blue-purple ring, if that is not special enough, I don’t know what is.
