The Truth About Using an Online Ring Sizing Chart
Posted by Luis Urrego on 29 May 2010 | Tagged as: Advice, Size and Ring Terminology
Online Ring sizing charts have become very popular in the last several years because of it’s convenience to help one find their ring size for themselves or for someone else.
There is one setback that many professional jewelers and many others believe is there with a ring sizing chart and that is accuracy and reliability in helping you find your exact ring size. Is printing out a chart on a piece of paper just as accurate as physically going to a professional jeweler to get your ring size from them?
Many professional jewelers don’t believe that these printable charts are not reliable when it comes to making such an important decision of buying a ring for yourself or for someone else.
They believe that once the chart is printed on paper, it does not reflect the same size and dimensions as the size on the screen which in turn will throw off the measurement result that you will get to a smaller ring size measurement than what you are supposed to have.
Some even go as far as to say that the actual ring sizing chart on the screen is inaccurate and therefore not reliable within itself. Some jewelry experts feel that using an online ring size chart is a tactic that some online jewelry stores use in order for them to make an easier sale online because of this convenience that they are providing to the customer.
Many people believe that ring sizing charts work great and are reliable and while many people do believe this and use the charts quite often one thing is for certain, and that’s the fact that you feel more reassured that you are receiving an accurate ring size when a professional is sizing your finger.
Even though an online printable ring sizing chart may work just as good as going to a jeweler to get your ring size, that high level of assurance in what the chart is telling you just doesn’t seem to be completely there.
You can try a ring sizing chart to try to get your ring size or someone else’s ring size, but if you have a question in your mind about the accuracy of the results then it would be advisable to double check with a professional jeweler.

“The Fed and most central banks try to prevent falling prices because most economist believe that deflation is not the just the effect of recessions but a cause. Once a country enters a period of deflation real interest rates are high and can not be lowered so monetary policy can not be used to stimulate economic activity. The last time the US experienced deflation was the 1930′s but Japan had such a period in the 1990′s and had almost a decade of slow or no growth. A simple way of see the problem is that if investors can make real returns without rusk by just holding cash, investment in risky productive ventures declines. The prices of individual items are volatile and move up and down, especial food and energy, but deflation is when the net cost of living decreases”
